President Trump visits Monday, Cayce Public Safety issues traffic information

U.S. President Donald Trump will attend an Election Eve campaign rally for S.C. Gov.Henry McMaster in West Columbia, Monday.

The Director of the Cayce Department of Public Safety, Byron Snellgrove, stated, “The City of Cayce and the Cayce Department of Public Safety is proud to host and escort President Trump in our beautiful city. We will continue to keep the public updated of road closures and any traffic delays in the area as that information comes available.”

As a precaution, we ask that all persons not directly involved in the events around the Columbia Airport, Midlands Tech and Airport High School please stay out of that area after 3 pm on Monday. If you must be in that area, please expect some traffic delays. We do not expect Interstate 26 to be impacted by this visit; however, we do expect moderate to heavy traffic on Highway 302, Platt Springs Road, Boston Ave., The John Hardy Expressway and other roadways surrounding the Columbia Metropolitan Airport and Airport High School.
