Portions of the West Columbia Riverwalk are currently closed. West Columbia Public Works cleared all debris and reopened the Riverwalk parking lot and amphitheater soon after the flooding from Hurricane Helene. The City of West Columbia has actively participated in FEMA meetings to ensure a smooth recovery process. FEMA completed the site visit on January 27 with City Staff. The City is finalizing the FEMA Damage Inventory and will submit it on February 15. Once FEMA approves the damage inventory, the City will bid out the necessary repair work.
