Police presence increased because of threat to Lexington 2 schools, Monday
Threats have been made via social media have been made related to Lexington Two schools, Monday. One threat was said to have been made at Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce. Despite the information distributed by Lexington Two, many parents were at the district’s schools to pick up their children. By 10 a.m., at least seven students had been signed out of the Lexington Two Innovation Center because of a “shooting threat.”
The Lexington Two School District said it has been made aware of alleged threats against Lexington Two high schools. School and district administrators are aware, and law enforcement has been contacted and is investigating. No immediate threats have been found, and the school day is continuing on a normal operating schedule this morning.
