Jakes on Meeting will be opening possible in the next week or so at 920 Meeting Street in West Columbia. That’s the old bait and tackle building.

There’s been a loud outpouring of interest in opening again, the owner posted on Facebook. It could open in the first week of March.

Construction on the building has been ongoing. Work on it includes: painting, new heaters, air conditioning and new rest rooms.
Jakes on Meeting will be a private club.

It will feature daily specials, pool tables, a bowling Machine, and golf.
It will sell alcohol Beverages and there will be a lot of grilling and cooking . A Grand Opening is also planned.
