Pineview Ruritan Club, Cornerstone Church and Mt. Hebron UMC raised $12,344 to help Eddie Porter and his family. Eddie is a retired Law Enforcement Officer. He was severely injured by a hit-and-run driver in June. He sustained many broken bones, including a skull fracture and several broken vertebrae, and he had several surgeries. The check was presented to Eddie and his family at the Pineview Ruritan Club meeting, Tuesday evening.

The money was raised by the sale of approximately 750 smoked chicken dinners, sold as a fundraiser.
