Pine Ridge named one of the safest places in South Carolina
The Town of Pine Ridge, in Lexington County, has been named No. 5 on the Safest South Carolina places list.
The 2015 FBI Crime Report statistics and population data were used to identify the 20 safest cities in South Carolina.
The list is based on the number of reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape, and robbery) and property crimes (burglary, arson, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft) in each city.
