Units from the Columbia Fire Department and Columbia Police were on the scene on scene at the Blossom Street Bridge. There was a low-angle rescue for one male. One westbound lane of Blossom Street was closed.

The person was rescued from underneath the Blossom Street Bridge and transported to the hospital by Richland County EMS. The road has been repoened.
