The Pelion Police Department investigated a fatal motor vehicle collision on the 700 block of Old Charleston Road Monday.

A police report stated: The investigation discovered that the driver was passing in excess of 80 mph. We would like to remind you that this is a dangerous area; please use due care when passing and drive the speed limit.”
