A pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning on I-26 in Lexington County.

The pedestrian was in the rodaway, according to Cpl. David Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was hit by a 2013, four-door Nissan vehicle, and died on the scene. The incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. at Mile Marker 113. The driver of the Nissan was headed east, and was not hurt, Jones said.

The accident is under investigation by the SCHP, and the MAIT team.
