The S.C. Highway Patrol is reporting that a pedestrian was killed in a vehicle vs pedestrian accident Saturday night. Lance Cpl. Judd Jones of the SCHP said the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet SUV hit a killed a person walking in the road in an east direction. The SUV was also travelling east.

The incident took place about 10:38 p.m. , according to Jones. It is still under investigation by the SCHP. The corner is expected to release the name of the victim, later.
