Amy Lands Rast, 38, of Swansea was struck by an SUV as she walked in the middle of the road.  Rast died at the scene from the injuries she sustained during the accident.  An autopsy was performed on Sunday and determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
