A pedestrian died after being hit on I-20 in Lexington County, around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Master Trooper Davis Jones of the SC Highway Patrol.

A 2004 Honda Accord was traveling west on I-20, near mile marker 39, and hit the pedestrian. The pedestrian was walking in the road, said Jones. The driver of the Honda was not injured.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released by the Lexington County Coroner.
The incident is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol.
