Pedestrian dies after being hit by car, 2 vehicles being sought

There was a fatal incident involving two hit-and-run vehicles on Broad River Road near Marley Drive in Richland County early Wednesday morning.

A pedestrian was killed around 2:52 a.m., according to Cpl. Matt Southern of the SC Highway Patrol.

Southern said a pedestrian was crossing Broad River Road when the pedestrian was hit by a Nissan Maxima. Then the pedestrian was hit by two more vehicles. The drivers of the two vehicles or the make and model of the vehicles is unknown said Southern. The driver of the Maxima stayed on the scene and the drivers of the other two vehicles left the scene.

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident with the Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
