The SC Department of Transportation was out in the Westover Acres neighborhood marking off sections of Redbird Drive and Cardinal Drive in West Columbia two weeks ago.

On Wednesday, crews from Lynches River Contracting, with heavy equipment, began cutting up parts of the streets for repair. The sections repaired included areas with severe pothole damage. By Thursday, several sections of road were re-covered.
