Parts of Cayce Riverwalk reopened Saturday
Phase One and Phase Four of Cayce’s River walk reopened Saturday (Oct. 24.) Phase One is from from the North Avenue entrance to the Blossom Street Bridge. Phase Four is from the Thomas Newman Boat Landing to the Timmerman Trail.
The reopenings were announced in a City of Cayce press release, Friday. Heavy flooding of the Congaree River caused the closings.
But caution is urged for people using the reopened trails and parks. Stay on designated paths.
Also, the entrance near the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Facility on the Fort Congaree Trail will reopen Saturday.
Phase Three, from Riverland Park to the Thomas Newman Boat Landing, is closed but it is expected to reopen next week.
Phase Two from the North Avenue entrance to Riverland Park will be closed until further notice due to substantial repairs.
The Thomas Newman Boat Landing will remain closed for substantial repairs, but its parking lot will reopen Saturday.
Riverland Park Entryway Park and the Granby Gardens Park will both be closed for planned improvements to the electrical system.
