Pair Elementary site approved for learning program for students
The former George I. Pair, Jr. Elementary School building on Platt Springs Road was approved as a program site for students by the Lexington Two Board at its meeting, Thursday.
There will be a five-day-a-week supervised learning program operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands in partnership with Still Hopes, at the location. It will open on Sept. 8, the date on which students start back to in-person school. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands will incorporate its BE GREAT Academy at the school.
Coronavirus safety protocols will be practiced at the site.
Fee schedules include a five-day-a-week program, and a three-day-a-week program. An income-based scale is applicable and may provide lower rates for a particular child or children.
