Two lanes of traffic on Knox Abbott Drive (in front of the Neighborhood WalMart Store) were reopened Monday night.  The road had been completely  blocked after an 18-wheeler truck overturned causing scrap metal and debris to spill across Knox Abbott Drive. No one was injured in the accident.

City of Cayce Spokeswoman Asheley Hunter gave an update of the incident, after 8 p.m. Monday.

The Cayce Department of Public Safety worked the incident that took place at approximately 6:05. It blocked all lanes of traffic for a couple of hours.
City officials were asking that drivers seek an alternate route while the site was cleared.
