Lexington County Fire Service responded to a reported wildland fire in the Gaston community on Friday at 1:10 p.m.,

The fire originated in the 100 block of Sturkie Road and quickly spread across several properties and affected one structure. SC Forestry personnel were requested and provided a bull dozier to assist in plowing a break around the area. Lexington County Sheriff’s Department assisted with traffic and crowd control. LCFS cleared the incident at 3:30 p.m. and it is currently under investigation.
