One-half of Gray Collegiate’s student-athletes sign to play in college

Gray signees.

On May 15, Gray Collegiate Academy had 11 student-athletes sign to play a sport in college.

“That is 20 for the year,” said Adam Holmes, Gray’s Athletics Director. “We had a total of 40 senior athletes, so that means that 50 percent of our senior athletes signed or received money to go on and play sports at the collegiate level.”

Holmes said the high percentage of signees is a tribute to Gray’s coaches, parents, and the players. He commended them for their hard work and countless hours to be successful.

Gray Collegiate Academy is a charter high school in West Columbia that offers college-credit courses for high school juniors and seniors.
