Obituary of Alvin Gennar Kiser, Sr.
Gennar “Jr” Kiser went to his forever home on Wednesday February 9th, 2022.
The family will hold a Graveside service for Mr. Alvin Gennar Kiser Sr. at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, West Columbia, SC on Monday February 14, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. The Rev. Gina D. Metz will officiate. Alvin Gennar Kiser was known to family and friends as Gennar, Jr., Bug Man, A.G. and most importantly Dad and Grandaddy.
He was a self made entrepreneur and hard working man. He proudly built his AG Exterminating Company and lived by a penny saved was a penny earned. After changing career paths his love of tractors and moving dirt kept him busy until he moved his retirement days to fishing at the lake, daily trips to the pond and helping any family or friend that was in need.
He was the son of the late Fred Kiser & Beatrice Hicks Kiser of Walhalla SC.
He was predeceased in death by his loving wife Virginia Kiser of 64 years. He is survived by his only son Alvin G. Kiser Jr. (Lisa); very special granddaughters, Reagan Kiser Price (Will) and Graeson Virginia Kiser, a brother Charles “Chuck” Kiser and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother William Ray Kiser and two sisters Elizabeth Kiser Fulmer and Beulah Mae Keaton.
The family would like to thank Pam and Francis for the precious loving care they gave our Dad during his illness. We would also like to thank Agape Hospice for their support and care.

Obituary of Mary Pendarvis
Mary Louise “Weezy” Pendarvis, age 74, of Gaston, South Carolina, passed away February 8, 2022 peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 2, 1947 in St. George, South Carolina, the daughter of Thomas and Ruth Marchant. She married Eric P. Pendarvis on September 1, 1962. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2000.
Mary and Eric moved to Gaston after their marriage and built a beautiful home together with their daughters and then grandchildren. Mary was a devoted Christian who stood strong in her faith. She enjoyed reading her bible and telling God’s word. She never met a stranger; to know Mary was to love her. She enjoyed making memories with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved telling them her favorite stories of years prior. Mary enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her home, children and grandchildren. Mary was a devoted animal lover and is leaving behind her beloved fur baby, Bella.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eric P. (“Slick”) Pendarvis, father Thomas P. Marchant of St. George, South Carolina, and her brother, Billy Marchant of St. George, South Carolina. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Bazzle Marchant of St. George, South Carolina, five siblings, Tommy Marchant, Deloris Patrick, Robert Marchant,, Johnnie Marchant, and Allen Marchant; two children, daughter and son-in-law Helene and David Sullivan, and daughter and son-in-law Gwen and Mark Gladden; six grandchildren Eddie Floyd, Chris Floyd, Megan Floyd, Brittani Gladden, Calli Gladden, and Kyle Sullivan; two great-granddaughters, Destiny Pence and Brook Pence; two great-grandsons, Dane Pence Jr., and Sims Floyd; and step-great grandson, Josh Hall.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, South Carolina. The burial will follow the service in Southland Memorial Gardens. Visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the service, February 13, 2022, from 1-2 PM at Thompson Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service will be Johnnie Marchant, Allen Marchant, Jason Marchant, Eddie Floyd, Chris Floyd, and Kyle Sullivan. The honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Marchant and Robert Marchant.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Pets Inc., an animal shelter in West Columbia, South Carolina, or an animal shelter of your choice can be made in her honor.

Obituary of Marion Smith
Marion Smith, 77, husband of Virginia (Ginny) Prescott Smith of Lexington, S.C., passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 8, 2022, surrounded by his family at Lexington Hospital.
Born in Batesburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Inez Asbill Smith and the late Roscoe Muriel Smith.
Before becoming a Farrier for 38 years, Mr. Smith served in the Army and The National Guard as well as serving as a West Columbia and Springdale Law Enforcement Officer. He had a deep love for horses, working in the hay fields, going on trail rides, and camping with his family at the beach or the mountains.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and he loved giving and receiving “gag” gifts at Christmas. His presence will be greatly missed by family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 57 years and the love of his life, Ginny Lou, he is survived by his son, Michael (Debbie) Smith of Lexington; grandson, Jesse (Kaitlin) Smith of Lexington; granddaughter, Danielle (Chris) Heming of Lexington; great grandsons, Clayton Smith and Bryson Smith; and sister, Lois (Wayne) Nichols of Newberry.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was predeceased by his sister, Doris Bille
Services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington SC 29073. Visitation will be start at 2:00 P.M. with a service conducted by Rev. Kevin at 3:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Obituary of Linda E. Craft
Linda E. Craft, 73, passed away at Lexington Medical Center on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Reedy A. Craft and Beauford Burnside Craft. A graduate of Olympia High School, she retired from the Finance Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for the State of South Carolina.
Surviving are her sister, Gloria J. Craft of Gaston, SC; her brother, Dallas R. Craft of Cayce, SC; her niece, Bonnie Parshall (David) of Gilbert, SC; her nephews, Wade Fontenot of Gaston, SC and Michael Fontenot of Cayce, SC; three great nieces and two great nephews; a great-grandniece and two great-grandnephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald E. Craft, and a niece, Malinda Fontenot.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to noon on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. A funeral service will be held at noon in the Chapel at the Funeral Home with burial at Celestial Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
