It’s technically between West Columbia, Cayce and Lexington, but a new Walmart Neighborhood Grocery has a West Columbia (29170) address. It’s at the corner of Emanuel Church Road and Old Barnwell Road, across from Walgreens, Bi-Lo and CVS Pharmacy. The new store is scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m., Aug. 17.

The new store will likely intercept some of the traffic now at the West Columbia Walmart Super Center on US 1 in West Columbia, and the Walmart grocery that opened in Cayce in late June.

The Walmart Neighborhood market is roughly 41,000 sq.ft. and has a gas station.
The property is not far from the Pine Grove Sports Complex and it’s about a mile from Platt Springs Road – at Three Fountains-  and about two miles from the cargo end of Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
