New housing development going up between West Columbia and Lexington
There is a new housing development under construction off of Jessamine Road, between West Columbia and Lexington. The property is between Mineral Springs Road and Leaphart Road, close to Oak Grove. It is in the 1700 block of Jessamine Road.
Some of the homes in the subdivision have been completed and are occupied. Others are under construction, but have “SOLD” signs in front of them. Prices start in the low $200,000s, according to a sign at the entrance of the development.
Mungo Homes is building Jessamine Place, The homes are described as affordable, convenient and in the perfect location, on quaint desirable lots, minutes from shops and dining, Lexington Medical Center and I-20.
The homes feature three bedrooms, two-and-one-half bathrooms, and range from 1,400 to more than 1,900 square feet. All open floor plans include a walk-in closet in the primary suite.
The homes are zoned for Lexington One schools of Meadow Glen Elementary, Meadow Glen Middle School and River Bluff High School.
NAI Columbia announced the sale of 62.95 acres of land where the houses are being built in September of 2019. The property sold for $1,340,400 to Mungo Homes.
