The new Lexington 2  elementary school is beginning to take shape.

Groundbreaking for the school was April 18. Since then, trees have been cleared and construction is in full swing.

Don Isenhower, Lexington 2’s operations chief, said progress on the new elementary school being built off of 12^th Street Extension in Cayc e is positive.

“We have had some rain delays,” Icenhower said the the Lexington 2 Board meeting last week. but crews are working to make up for lost time.
