NCAA’s March Madness comes to Colonial Life Arena – Duke a No. 1 Seed
Duke University is a No. 1 Seed overall and will play in the first two rounds of the NCAA Men’s Tournament in Columbia, as March Madness comes to town for the first time since 1970. Columbia will also get Virginia another number one seed.
The games in Columbia begin on Friday, March 22 and will be played on Sunday, March 24. All games will be held at the Colonial Life Arena.
Duke will play at 7:10 p.m. Friday against the winner of Tuesday night’s First Four game between No. 16 seeds North Carolina-Central and North Dakota State. Virginia will play No. 16 seed Gardner-Webb at approximately 3:45 p.m.
No. 8 seed Ole Miss will face No. 9 seed Oklahoma at 12:40 p.m. on Friday in first game in Columbia. No. 8 seed VCU will face No. 9 seed UCF in the nightcap, tipping off after the Duke game.

There will be two games on Sunday at Colonial Life Arena. The winners advancing to the Sweet 16 round.
The eight teams playing in Columbia will conduct practices at Colonial Life Arena on Thursday. Practices are open to the public with no admission charge. Times for the practices have not been announced.
The seedings and schedule were announced Sunday night during the NCAA’s Selection Show North Carolina and Gonzaga are the other number one seeds with Duke and Virginia.
CBS/WLTX will broadcast the Duke first-round game, and the Wofford game. The Terriers of Spartanburg will face 10-seed Seton Hall in First Round of NCAA Tournament. That game is in the Jacksonville Regional. Wofford is a No. 7 seed, and will play on Thursday at 9:40 p.m.
