National Weather Service says models indicate severe weather, Thursday afternoon

The National Weather Service in Columbia is indicating Thursday afternoon will be very active. Severe thunderstorms with wind gusts are the main threat. Isolated tornadoes can’t be ruled out, and flooding is likely.

The NWS also issued a reminder stating that there is a difference between a Watch and a Warning. Watch (issued by Storm Prediction Center) means all ingredients are present for severe weather/flooding to start. Be ready! Warning (issued by local NWS) means it’s imminent or actually occurring. TAKE COVER!
