Saturday at the Museum with Mr. Knozit, friends is scheduled for Saturday.

Joe Pinner, longtime host of the Mr. Knozit children’s show, Haney Howell, and fellow broadcasting pioneers known as the SLOBS (Some Legendary Old Broadcasters) will share memories from their careers in radio and television. The event is at 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Saturday (May 14) in the Currell College Auditorium.
Following this panel discussion, visitors are invited to tour On Air in South Carolina: Preserving Radio and Television History at the SCBA Archives, an exhibit on view through August 27, 2016, on the 3rd floor of McKissick Museum.

This exhibit highlights objects and images in the archives of the South Carolina Broadcasters Association which McKissick maintains on behalf of the Association. Curator Chris Fite and members of the curatorial team for On Air in South Carolina will be available to chat about the exhibit and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served 1-3pm on the 3rd floor of McKissick Museum.
The Currell College Auditorium is in a building adjacent to McKissick Museum, which is located at 816 Bull Street, Columbia, on the University of South Carolina’s historic Horseshoe.
