Motorcade brings body of Faye Swetlik back to Lexington County
The body of Faye Marie Swetlik, the 6-year-old who was found dead Thursday, was escorted back to Lexington County Saturday in a law enforcement motorcade.
Faye was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for an autopsy.
Faye’s body was brought back to Lexington for her funeral. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Department provided an escort, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said in a press release.
The motorcade left Charleston at noon and took Interstate 26 to Exit 113, getting off the highway at Airport Boulevard, according to the release.
From there, the motorcade continued along the Columbia Airport Expressway, Platt Springs Road, and North Lake Drive before arriving at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington, according to the coroner’s office.
