Most Lexington crashes on Sunset Boulevard, according to Lexington Police data

There were 123 vehicle collisions reported to police in Lexington in August, according to data released by the Lexington Police Department.

The intersection with most of the collisions was Sunset Boulevard at Scotland Dr.
Failure to yield right-of-way was the highest in number (30) cause of a collision. More crashes occurred on Thursday than any other day of the week.

The Lexington Police Department made 670 traffic stops in August. There were 696 traffic stops in July. The 12-month average for Lexington traffic stops is 595. There were 473 tickets written.
