More than one million voters have already cast their ballot, SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick says voting reflects enthusiasm
More than one million voters have already cast their ballot during the early voting period in South Carolina. In the 2020 General Election more than 2.5 million votes were cast. There were just over 3.5 million voters registered in the state in 2020.
SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick released the following statement on this historic turnout:
“The record-breaking turnout among South Carolina Republicans reflects the enthusiasm we’re seeing across our Party nationally. I encourage every Republican not to be complacent, but to take full advantage of early voting and make their voices heard. We’re on track to make Election Day a great success for Republicans up and down the ballot, but until Kamala Harris packs her bags, the job’s not done!”
Voters can visit any early voting center in their county during the early voting period, present their Photo ID, and vote using the voting system like they would at their polling place on election day.
Early voting centers are open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day until Saturday, November 2 (Closed on Sunday, October 27). See the poster below for a full list of locations in Lexington County where you can cast your ballot.
