More than 130 Lexington County roads still impassable, 17% without power as of Monday afternoon

(From the LCSD) Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies have been working to clear road debris since Hurricane Helene hit Lexington County Friday morning. There are still more than 130 impassable roads (as of Monday afternoon) in Lexington County, according to the Lexington County Emergency Operations Center.

Deputies continue to answer calls for service. Please remember to only use 911 in the case of an emergency.

More than 17 percent of Lexington County’s electricity customers are without power. To report downed power lines, power outages or other electricity concerns, please call your electric utility.
Be aware the Congaree River is forecast to remain at major or moderate flood stage for the next day or so, according to the US National Weather Service Columbia South Carolina.
