Palmetto Health’s mobile mammography vehicle will be available in West Columbia beginning in September to provide digital screening mammograms.

The unit will be at the offices of Dr. Jay Markowitz, M.D., and Associates is at 103 Saluda Ridge Court in West Columbia.

Patients can schedule appointments from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on July 30 at Jay Markowitz, M.D., and Associates.

The mobile mammography vehicle will be available in West Columbia and available appointment dates:

The American Cancer Society screening guidelines recommend annual mammography beginning at age 40. Patients are encouraged to consult their primary care providers for guidelines.

Lakeview Family Medicine in Lexington and South Hampton Family Practice in Columbia also has appointment dates starting in September.
