Mission Lexington Partners With Businesses to Help Employees in Times of Crisis, Breakfast Event is Sept. 19
Business & Breakfast Event Scheduled for September 19 at 8:00 AM
Lexington – When a local employee faces an unexpected hardship—a sick child, missed work, an unexpected car repair, or the stress of choosing between rent and medication—it doesn’t just affect that individual, it affects their family, their workplace, and the wider business community. Mission Lexington steps into those gaps, providing stability and resources that help employees return to work, sustain their income, and continue contributing to our local economy.

“Stability creates better health—mentally, physically, and financially,” said Amy Reeves, Mission Lexington Executive Director. “When families are stabilized, businesses are strengthened. That’s why our work is not just about meeting immediate needs, but about building sustainable futures for employees and their families.”
Mission Lexington partners with local agencies and businesses to provide assistance in moments of crisis. For example, when a parent misses work due to a child’s illness and struggles to cover rent, Mission Lexington helps bridge that gap. When a car breaks down and days of work are missed, Mission Lexington works to get that vehicle repaired and restore income stability. These interventions not only support families in need but also help businesses retain employees and reduce workplace disruptions.
To give the business community an inside look at how this work is done, Mission Lexington is hosting a Business & Breakfast: Behind-the-Scenes Tour on Thursday, September 19 at 8:00 AM. The event will take place at Mission Lexington’s headquarters, 216 Harmon Street, Lexington. Guests will enjoy a hot breakfast, meaningful networking, and an exclusive tour highlighting how Mission Lexington serves as a partner in strengthening the local workforce and community.
