Mickey Pringle was sworn in as the West Columbia District 5 representative on city council Monday night. Judge Kenneth Ebener administered the oath of office to Pringle. Kameron Pringle, Mickey Pringle’s grandson, holds the Bible.

Pringle was not seated earlier because there was a challenge to his election win. The Nov. 7, vote was overturned because the Lexington County Elections Commission ruled that ineligible voters cast ballots. Then Pringle won in the Feb. 14, re-vote, and that was challenged. Pringle replaces Boyd Jones.
