Cayce- Marie Dawkins Gregory, of Cayce, South Carolina, passed away October 9, 2017, after battling health issues for several years.

She was born on July 18, 1957 in Newberry, South Carolina, to Bobby and Ida Underwood. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Masters plus thirty in Physical Education.

She taught and coached at Fulmer Middle School for 35 years. She was known by many as Coach Dawkins. Marie is survived by her husband; Jim Gregory, son; Jeremy Dawkins, service dog; Rufus, stepson; Tommy Gregory, and many other loving family members.

Heaven gained another angel. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, step- mother, aunt, great-aunt, friend, and colleague. She will be deeply missed beyond words. Her love for teaching, coaching, and sports touched so many lives. Big things come in small packages. If you knew Marie, you know this is undeniably true. The world has never seen such energy, passion, heart, strength, and personality come out of one little body.

The family will receive visitors at Trinity Baptist church on Charleston Highway, Sunday October 15, 2017, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 3:45 pm. The service will follow at 4:00 pm.
