Lexington County nty Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 Westbound, near mile marker 61, Thursday. The incident happened just before 3 a.m.

According to Fisher, Mr. Cody David Moody, 24, of Pelion was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.

Mr. Moody’s vehicle left the right side of the road and collided with a guard rail. He was the only occupant in the vehicle, and he was wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
