The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that happened in West Columbia early early Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred around 5 a.m. on the 600 block of Sumter street, according to the LCSD.   One man was shot in the home. He was in critical condition, according to the latest report.

Evidence has been collected at the scene and deputies are still conducting interviews.

The victim is male in his fifties.
