Man shot in West Columbia, Tuesday, arrest made by police
At 12:26 pm, the West Columbia Police Department responded to 901 Mohawk Drive in West Columbia in reference to an alleged altercation.
Upon an investigation of the incident, it was determined that thirty-five-year-old James Austin Parks shot Brandon Reese Baker.
Mr. Baker was transported to Prisma Health Richland for his injuries. Mr. Parks is currently in custody and has been arrested for Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime. He will be booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
