Man who was murdered by roommate in West Columbia on Monday, is identified.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the man who was allegedly murdered by his roommate, Jeremy Junior Head in a home they shared on Steele Drive in West Columbia.

Jose Antonio Guerrero Cano, 23, of the home on Steele Drive in West Columbia was shot multiple times in the upper body.

Cano was found dead at the scene several hours later by another roommate who reported the incident to West Columbia Police.An autopsy was performed on October 13th on Cano and results showed that Cano died of a perforated heart related to the gunshot wounds he sustained.

The brother of Jose Antonio Guerrero Cano who was on the scene after the incident stated that Cano was an undocumented immigrant and had been working at the San Jose Restaurant on Highway 1 in Lexington.  He also stated that Cano leaves behind a wife and two children who are living in the area. The West Columbia Police Department continues to investigate the incident
