According to Fisher, Louis Connelley, 72, of Swansea was traveling toward Gaston on US 321 when he struck the side of a tractor trailer that was crossing the highway from Glenn Road. Connelley, who was wearing a seatbelt when the collision occurred, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident.
