Man killed in Monday’s officer-involved shooting identified
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the name of the individual who
was shot at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, in the 100 block of Glenda
Court, Lexington.
Fisher states that Bryan N. Byrd, 43, of Columbia, was fatally
shot in the upper body and died at the scene.
An autopsy performed on Tuesday, revealed that Byrd died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Byrd died from multiple gunshot wounds.The incident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office,
South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
