Man is arrested with stolen AR-15 rifle, ammunition, marijuana, and Oxycodone pills, say Lexington Police
Lexington Police arrested a Blythewood man early Monday. He had an assault rifle, ammunition and drugs, said police.
Barry Emmanuel, 22, of Blythewood, was arrested during a traffic stop overnight. He had a stolen AR-15 rifle, nearly 100 rounds of ammunition, marijuana, and Oxycodone pills, police said.
Additionally, Emmanuel was out on bond for attempted murder, police said. This case will be forwarded to the ATF for follow-up for the weapon possession violation. He is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on a bond of $142,125.00.
Over the last several months, officers of the LPD Patrol Division have made numerous arrests of unlawfully carried and stolen weapons, police said. Illegal guns continue to be a concern for Lexington Police because it compromises the safety for the Town of Lexington.
