UPDATE at 2:08 p.m.: Hill was last seen at the Bojangles on Augusta Hwy, 4863 Augusta Hwy, in the Ford truck. We are working to pull video from the Bojangles and surrounding businesses in a continued effort to find Hill. If you see Hill or the truck, please call 911.

UPDATE at 1:47 p.m.: Hill has stolen a 2005 Ford F350 pickup truck. The truck is burgundy with a tan stripe on the bottom. It has a crew cab, running boards and a toolbox in the bed. It was last seen near the intersection of I-20 and Augusta Road.

UPDATE at 1:34 p.m.: Hill is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911. While we have an extensive search underway, we need the community to be our eyes and ears throughout the search area.

UPDATE at 1:29 p.m.: Deputies have set up a perimeter around the search area. K-9s are assisting deputies in the ground search and drones are searching from the air.

Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies are near the intersection of Leaphart Road and Sunset Boulevard searching for a man who was in custody before escaping from the back of an ambulance.

Daniel Hill III is 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and jeans. He has a Superman tattoo on his chest. He was cuffed at the time of his escape.
