Man dies from fentanyl intoxication in Lexington County Detention Center

Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has released the autopsy results for inmate Charles Plumley who died in the Lexington County Detention Center on April 23. He was found dead in an open pod.

According to Fisher, Mr. Plumley’s death was due to an acute fentanyl intoxication with an accidental manner of death. For further information, please refer to the State Law Enforcement Division or the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
