Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was fatally shot in the 400 block of Ermine Road in West Columbia, shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department reported the shooting took place at a business.

According to Fisher, Mr. Philip Calvin Jackson, 45, of Lexington was pronounced dead on the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday, July 30 at MUSC.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the incident.
