Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a tractor- trailer vs. bicycle accident in the 3600 block of Platt Springs Road in the West Columbia area of Lexington County at approximately 6:48 a.m., Tuesday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Christopher David Razny, 45, of West Columbia was riding his bicycle eastbound on Platt Springs Road when a tractor-trailer also traveling eastbound collided with him.

Mr. Razny was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries he sustained in the collision. The driver of the tractor trailer remained on scene.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol, and the South Carolina
Department of Public Safety MAIT continue to investigate the incident.
