Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of a man who was shot and killed during an incident at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Sunnyside Drive in Cayce.

Fisher stated that Mr. Raymond Lee Toler, 66, of Cayce, was shot after a verbal altercation with his grandson. Mr. Toler was pronounced dead on scene due to a multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Mr. Toler’s wife was injured during the incident and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Cayce Police Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate this incident.
