Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of a man who was found dead
outside of a residence in the 100 block of Villa Court, off of Emmanuel Church Road, in Lexington County on Sunday, at approximately 4:40 p.m.

Fisher states that Mr. Hoyt Mitchell Jennings, 47, of Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene
due to a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department continue to
investigate this incident.
