Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher is releasing the identity of a man who was shot and killed on Thursday, shortly after 1 p.m. in the Pine Grove Apartment Community located on Foxfire Drive in the Columbia area of Lexington County.

Fisher stated that Mr. Gary Anthony Kelly II, 45, of Columbia, was found dead inside his vehicle. Mr. Kelly was pronounced dead on scene due to a single gunshot wound to the head.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate this incident.
