Are you looking for a special gift? If so, there are several locally-owned shops in West Columbia that may have something for your Christmas shopping list that you won’t find anywhere else.
Eclectic Edge Woodworks opened earlier this year at 305 Charleston Highway, behind Zesto, in West Columbia’s Triangle City.
Eclectic Edge Woodworks is a retail furniture store that sells and makes custom products, in-house, from wood, epoxy, and metal. Eclectic Edge Woodworks also sells items created by other South Carolina craft makers. Steve Meyer is the owner.
“We have several items that are one-of-a-kind,” Steve said. “You won’t find them anywhere else.”
Handmade items from other South Carolina artisans, include hand-turned wood bowls, handmade pottery, rustic hand-carved bowls, and handmade candles.
“I may have that special and unique item you’re looking for,” Steve said.
Eclectic Edge Woodworks’ hours of operation are Thursday and Friday 10 a.m-7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Call ahead at 803-269-5781 at other times.
Triangle City is the first stop on the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber’s Parade Day schedule for Saturday, Dec. 14. The C-WC Parade of Lights begins at 5:30 p.m. Before the parade, the Chamber will conduct a Holiday Business Shuttle from noon until 4 p.m. It begins at The North Pole (C-WC Chamber HQ on 12th Street) where there will be live music, entertainment and food.
On Dec. 14, there will be multiple shuttles continuously circling a 5-mile route through the business districts and stopping at 11 “hop-on and hop-off” locations. There will be 90 businesses open for “Love Local” holiday shopping.
What about apparel?

And the staff can assist you in finding the perfect outfit or gift.
How would you like to be bejeweled for the season? If so, Ronnie Jeffcoat of Ronnie’s Jewelers in Triangle City can help. “The Christmas season is our busiest time of the year,” Ronnie said.
Ronnie’s sells silver for the children and gold and diamonds for the adults. He said Jewelry is the perfect Christmas gift because it lasts forever. Ronnie’s repairs and cleans Jewelry, too.
Other items sold at Ronnie’s Jewelers include: earrings, pendants and watches, some decide that the holiday season is a good time to propose marriage. “We actually sell some engagement rings in the Christmas season,” he said.
Another stop for an out-of-the-ordinary present is Scratch N’ Spin. It’s the record shop in Triangle City at 513 12th St. The owner is Eric Woodard. You can get a turntable to play vinyl records at Scratch N’ Spin, and you can buy the vinyl record albums there, too.
