Longtime Architecture fire Jumper, Carter Sease joins McMillan Pazdan Smith
The former Jumper Carter Sease Architects at 412 Meeting Street, West Columbia, has undergone a big change. In June, JCS merged with McMillan Pazdan Smith. But don’t expect a lot to change.
“We’re still a West Columbia business, and we always will be. And our whole team is intact.” said Todd Sease, an architect Principal at the former Jumper, Carter Sease.
Sease also said since the merger, the architect firm is expanding.
“We’re renovating our building to make space for more staff,” he said. “And we’re able to give our young people more opportunities for growth. We’re excited.”
Sease said the culture of Jumper, Carter, Cease and McMillan Pazdan Smith are similar and the transition has been easy.
Jumper Carter Sease’s work includes Riverbank Elementary School in West Columbia and the Lexington Two Schools District Headquarters on Platt Springs Road. And currently, McMillan Pazdan Smith is working on the Education and Conservation Center at Riverbanks Zoo.
“We still provide the same excellent design,” Sease said. “And all of our personal relationships in West Columbia will remain the same.”
The firm will maintain its contracts with local consultants, printers and construction crews.
“West Columbia has been good to us, and we want to be good to West Columbia,” Sease said.
